Eggshell Colors and Baby Spots
Color Pip’s eggshell white with pale blue or light brown speckles. The cracks can stay white, or you can outline them with a darker color. Give Pip a soft green body and a yellow belly, or create purple stripes and blue spots instead. A warm sandy ground and green plants will make the baby dinosaur easy to see. Dinosaur Egg Facts
Some dinosaurs laid eggs, just as many reptiles and birds do today. Fossil eggs and nests help scientists learn about dinosaur families. Eggshells were hard enough to protect the baby inside, but the hatchling could break through when it was ready. Not every dinosaur egg looked the same: they could be different sizes, shapes, and textures. Baby dinosaurs are called hatchlings after they come out of their eggs.
